139 Fifth Ave 

Responsible for designing a 5-story multi-family building with 28 apartment over 4 stories. The first floor includes a lobby, retail, an art gallery, and leasing office. The basement features tenant storage, fitness center, and entertainment room. The project also includes a new parking lot, roof terrace, and photovoltaic panel system.  It is anticipated to be modular construction for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th floor.

163 Wolfs Lane

Responsible for designing a 5-story multifamily building with 27 apartment over 4 stories. The first floor includes a lobby, retail, gym, and parking garage. The basement has additional parking accessed by way of a car elevator. The project also includes a roof terraces with plantings.  The project has received all required Municipal approvals and is currently in construction document phase. 

North Bellmore Public Library 

 

Responsible for supervising project thru CA phase.  The renovation and expansion of North Bellmore Public Library transformed an out-of-date 1960’s building into a modern and sustainable facility.

The 12,000 square foot existing library received a gut renovation and 4,200 square feet of new space was added in a glass enclosed “wrapper” running around three sides of the existing building.

The design transforms the “closed-in” nature of the existing building into a pleasant light-filled environment with comfortable seating areas, a greatly expanded Children’s Library, state of the art technology and a variety of meeting spaces for use by the community.  

Washington Avenue Lofts

Responsible for developing project from SD through DD, CD and CA. The project is almost completed. It is mixed use development for Downtown Pleasantville that includes 23 residential units, retail space and two parking levels provided behind the building.  The two upper floors consist of studio, one and two bedrooms apartments while over 9,000sf is available on first floor for retail.  The apartment lobby extends down to the retail level, connecting directly to the village.  The contemporary design will dramatically increase the character of the street with improved scale and enhanced storefronts.

The project's models and drawings were  prepared mainly in Revit.

Bedford Green on 117

Responsible for the renovation design of over 900 linear feet of the building’s façade as well as new site work and arranging new traffic patterns. The traditional yet contemporary design used stone cladding and pitched roofs to reflect a more substantial and traditional small town feel. I was involved in all project's phases.

Hess Residence

Responsible for designing a large addition and interior restructuring of the client’s home. To breakdown the height of the house, situated on a steep slope, the addition grew into a series of smaller masses that extended down the hill. Project work included structural calculations. I was involved in all project phases.

Penthouse

Responsible for designing the façade of two penthouse apartments on the 12-story building. The design was based on allowing materials to extend as seamlessly as possible from interior to exterior. I was involved in SD, DD and CD phases.

Diamond Residence

Responsible for the renovation and addition design that included a new kitchen, lounge room, mud room, an expanded master bedroom/bathroom suite, and new family room loft. This project dealt with intricate millwork details and new materials. The project won the 2013 Westchester Home Magazine design award for architectural detail. I was involved in SD, DD and CD phase.

Ambulatory Care Center

Responsible for interior design, material and finish selection for the Ambulatory Care Center in Chappaqua, New York.  The project included a wound care department with a six person hyperbaric chamber, a rehabilitation department including pulmonary and cardiac rehabilitation and physical and occupational therapy, a center for balance disorders, pediatric specialty physicians practices, and supporting testing and diagnostic function.  The facility required State Department of Health review and approval.

Urban Lobby

Responsible for the renovation design of the building’s vestibule that transformed the small narrow passage into an upscale lobby that reflects the urban texture defining NYC. The design incorporated a great amount of glass and light to make the small space feel bright and big.

Park at Mt. Kisco

Responsible for the renovation design of over 1,000 linear feet of the building’s façade to create a modern industrial appearance with distinct entrances for each tenant. Design work included upgrades to the site and interior tenant fit-outs. The design used simple extruded metal panels in varying shades of gray that accumulated at tenant entrances, clear story storefronts, canopies and illuminated LED reveals. 

Shulman Residence

Responsible for developing multiple additions and extensive renovation on the single family residence  in Briacliff Manor, NY. The addition included a new master suite, an inviting foyer that connected all parts of the house, a guest suite and and updated playroom and a two car garage.  The challenging part was planing construction in phasing to minimize impact on the life of the family with 3 children. 

333 Field House

Responsible for creating new facilities building for an existing Municipal Park with accessible bathrooms, vending nook, and storage.  The sculptural form incorporates terraces for parents and children to sit and watch games on the adjacent field.

LaQuinta Hotel

Responsible for designing exterior facade and hotel lobby for LaQuinta hotel. This renovation project consisted of converting an existing 183 guestroom Wellesley Inn into a re-branded 157 guestroom LaQuinta Inn & Suites.  The existing facility contained five adjoining buildings on a 6.4 acre hill top site. 

The exterior work included a complete recladding of all 5 building.  The façade design integrated the LaQuinta branding requirements in a custom manner that complemented the sites unique configuration.  The main entrance canopy, which was previously over-scaled and awkward, was reduced, reconfigured, and restyled to be proportional with the building.  Site work also included new landscaping.

Graphic & Other Designs

Responsible for creating graphic designs, client logos and property brandings. Involved in designing GB-ds’s stationery, announcements, portfolio books and award submissions.

Art

In my free time I like to draw, paint and take pictures.
